Yuya Hasegawa visited Iizuka Hospital today in Fukuoka today and met about seventy patients.  He gave everyone an autographed baseball.  Hasegawa has been visiting the hospital every year since 2009.

"The patients give me strength with their smiling faces," said Hasegawa.  "At first, I did not know how to approach people in hospitals, but now I am having fun speaking to everyone.  The hospital staff also supports me.  I can feel the excitement."
