Chiba Lotte Marines sign Dicky Gonzalez to a one-year deal

The Chiba Lotte Marines announced today that they signed former Yomiuri Giant Dicky Gonzalez to a contract for the 2013 season.  The contract is reportedly worth an estimated 450,000 US dollars (about 38 million yen) plus incentives.  He has not yet been assigned a uniform number.

    Interesting! We are apparently making a strategy of signing ex-Yakult/ex-Yomiuri pitchers with some recent injury troubles. Could be a good move.

    Do you know if he qualifies as a domestic player now? He’s been around for quite some time.

      If I’m not mistaken, he still has a bit more to go. He has been around since 2004, but has also moved back and forth between Ichi-gun and Ni-gun quite a bit.
