Andruw Jones was arrested on battery charges on Christmas morning. A snip from MLB.com's Scott Merkin:
The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department arrested Jones, 35, after responding to a reported domestic dispute call between Jones and his wife in Duluth, Ga. According to numerous media reports citing the Gwinnett County Detention Center records, Jones was released on $2,400 bond by 11 a.m., after spending seven hours in jail.

UPDATE @ 8:11pm - The Eagles have reportedly spoken directly to Jones and learned: 1) it was a domestic dispute and 2) there was no physical violence. The organization does not plan on voiding their contract at this point in time.

To team officials, and more than anything else, to the Rakuten fans that were looking forward to seeing me play, I apologize for what has happened. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
