Sore loser?  Morimichi Takagi appeared on a TV program in Nagoya on Tuesday night and had this to say about the trio of players that left the team and signed with the Yokohama Bay Stars:

[Tony] Blanco will probably go like this this year. *while drawing a downward curve with his right hand*

You have to consider his age and that wrist he hurt, that will play a role too.

[Enyelbert] Soto gets hurt too often.  [Jorge] Sosa was starting to complain [about things].

Yoshiyuki Kamei visited a physic in Nara this winter and was told that an evil spirit attached itself to his left shoulder.

"I was asked if my left shoulder was bad because there was an evil spirit on it.  That made me think of the injuries I have had on the left side of my body.  I had the spirit exorcised and was told the evil spirit left.  I am not the type to believe that kind of thing, but I do feel a sense of relief," said Kamei.

Kamei has also done other things suggested by the psychic to ensure good luck, like change the kanji characters in his first name, or grab sand from a shrine in Kanagawa to store in his home.
