Tetsuya Utsumi tossed his first bullpen of the year at Giants Stadium today -- he threw thirty-two pitches to a standing catcher and used a WBC baseball.

Michihiro Ogasawara trained at Miyazaki Comprehensive Sports Park today. His day started at 9:00am and lasted about five hours. His workouts included running, trunk strengthening exercises, batting practice, and weight training.

Shinnosuke Abe showed up at Giants Stadium on Thursday for the first time since returning from Guam. He worked out for about two hours and later told reporters he caught a cold but was otherwise fine.

Shunichi Murata purchased an 800,000 yen machine on September 21, 2012 that apparently helps improve dynamic visual acuity. He plans to take the machine with him to spring camp.
