Central League planning to get rid of the three-and-a-half hour rule

by on Feb.23, 2013 @ 10:24 pm, under NPB

The Central League held a board of directors meeting in Naha, Okinawa on Friday and determined that based on current energy conditions, they should be able to go back to their twelve-inning limit.  The league will review the numbers again in March before making a final decision.

The CL also discussed the possibility of dropping the number of Inter-league games from twenty-four to eighteen.  The league is planning to bring issues about the up Inter-league schedule during an executive committee meeting.

Yes, but the ball will be the same. Those 0-0 and 1-1 ties from last year will be played out until the 12th this year. I wonder how many ties will be broken with the same ball.
