Nippon Ham Fighters

1st round draft pick Shohei Otani could make the starting line-up for Sunday's exhibition game depending on how he does during a pinch-hit appearance today.

Otani tracked down baseballs in right when Makoto Kaneko and Eiichi Koyano took batting practice on Friday.  He also took thirty-eight swings during batting practice and collected nine could-be hits and hit one over the fence.
