Yuya Hasegawa was hit in the head by a batted ball during pre-game practice and was taken to a Miyazaki hospital for an evaluation. He was diagnosed with depressed fracture of the skull. He does have consciousness. There is no timetable on his recovery. He will be re-evaluated at a hospital in Fukuoka on the 25th.
UPDATE 2/24 @ 9:10pm - Hasegawa was picking up baseballs in the outfield when he was hit in the head by a batted ball. He was able to walk to the locker room on his own. He did not lose consciousness. He returned to Fukuoka today and will get a full examination on the 25th.
