Hiroki Uemoto and Hayata Ito collided into each other while tracking down a ball hit by Hayato Sakamoto in the 6th inning of tonight's practice against Samurai Japan. Ito caught the ball despite the collision and lunged forward. He was able to get back, but Uemoto dropped to the ground and remained there until he was taken off the field on a stretcher. Both players were examined at a hospital.
Uemoto suffered a cut on his right cheek. No other information is known at this time. Ito felt discomfort in his neck.
