1st round draft pick Shohei Otani's batting practice outing was pushed back to Thursday because of the rain.  For workouts today, he threw twenty pitches in the bullpen and spent some time taking swings in the indoor training facilities.

Hayato Terahara threw eighty-two pitches in the bullpen on Tuesday.  He threw a team high 1,412 pitches during Ichi-gun spring camp.

Terahara is scheduled to pitch three innings against WBC Brazil on Thursday.

Terahara and Hirofumi Yamanaka worked out on the team's day off today.  Terahara did some running and Yamanaka threw about twenty pitches in the bullpen.

Casey McGehee took batting practice outdoors (about twenty minutes) and indoors (about thirty minutes) after Tuesday's practice game against Lotte was canceled.  He also spent about thirty minutes giving Takumi Miyoshi advice in the locker room.

The Eagles are not scheduled to return to Sendai until March 24.  They will have stayed at ten different hotels over a two month period and been to Kumejima, Okinawa, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Kobe, Okayama, Matsuyama, Hiroshima, and Tokyo.
