Chunichi Dragons

Kazuki Yoshimi threw forty-one pitches in the bullpen on Thursday.  He is slated to start Saturday's exhibition game against Hiroshima.   Masahiro Yamamoto is scheduled to start Sunday's exhibition game against Hiroshima.  Soma Yamauchi will make an appearance in relief on Saturday.  Yoshimi, Yamauchi, and Yamamoto are expected to make the starting rotation.

The remaining three sports are up for grabs.  Kenichi Nakata, Shinji Iwata, Yudai Ono, and Junki Ito are possibilities.  Daniel Cabrera and Kenshin Kawakami are options as well, but both are question marks due to injuries.  Kenta Asakura and Kentaro Nishikawa could make things interesting.

Morimichi Takagi wants the veterans to play in road exhibition games at rural stadiums because he needs them to be fully ready for the start of the season.

"The veterans are arriving at a turning point.  I want them to be in good shape for opening day, so I will push them, even in exhibition games.  I am telling them to play in rural games," said Takagi.
