Yomiuri Giants

Starters for the opening series against Hiroshima at Tokyo Dome could be: Ryosuke Miyaguni, Dennis Houlton, and 1st round draft pick Tomoyuki Sugano. The starters for the next series, against Yokohama at Yokohama: Tetsuya Utsumi, Hirokazu Sawamura, and Toshiya Sugiuchi.

Kyosuke Takagi will likely return to the bullpen.

Jose Lopez, Manny Acosta, and Dennis Houlton were initially expected to make the active roster with John Bowker and Scott Mathieson competing for the final spot. However, Bowker has been playing well and Mathieson is expected back soon. Depending on how things progress, Acosta could end up being the odd-man out.
