The Tigers visited Nishinomiya Shrine in Nishinomiya, Hyogo today to pray for a success season.  About 500 fans gathered for a chance to see the players.

The starters for the series opener against Yakult at Jingu could be: Randy MessengerMinoru Iwata, and 1st round draft pick Shintaro Fujinami.  The starters for the next series, against Chunichi at Kyocera Dome: Atsushi NomiJason Standridge, and Daiki Enokida.

Fujinami will most likely make two more exhibition game starts before the regular season begins: vs Lotte at QVC Marine on the 16th and vs Orix at Kyocera Dome on the 23rd.

T. Arai played some first during situation fielding practice on Wednesday -- he made four throws to second and fielded three bunts and threw one to third and two to home.  He will have a strong shot at making the active roster on opening day if he can gey back to the Ichi-gun team in time for a three-game exhibition game series against Orix at Kyocera Dome that begins on the 22nd.
