Hisayoshi Chono and Takashi Toritani could platoon the lead-off spot.  Toritani was at the top of the line-up with RHP Yusmeiro Petit starting for the Giants.  Chono will likely be at the top of the line-up on Friday with LHP Travis Wood most likely starting for the Chicago Cubs.

If Toritani leads off, Chono could drop down to the seven hole.  If Chono leads off, Toritani could drop to the eight hole.

Nakata used the high leg kick and hit three over the fence during batting practice at Scottsdale Stadium on Wednesday.
