About 1,100 people attended a Giants rally party at a hotel in Tokyo on Friday night.

Team chairman Tsuneo Watanabe told everyone players on the team did not have to worry about injuries because he already suffered enough of them this year -- he was hospitalized for a brief period after breaking two toes; two polyps were removed from his intestines during that hospital stay; he accidentally swallowed a pill that had a plastic cover on it.
