Yakult Swallows

Lights for an ad behind home plate were turned off after Shohei Tateyama said it was bothering him during his opening day start.  The lights will remain off until a better option is found.

Hiroshima Carp

Assuming six days of rest, Kenta Maeda would be scheduled to start his next game on the 7th.  However, he will make his next start on five days of rest and will pitch on the 6th.

Said pitching coach Yasuyuki Yamauchi, "Our plans have not changed.  [Maeda] will pitch on five days of rest [after starts in which he throws] 120 or fewer pitches."

Hanshin Tigers

1st round draft pick Shintaro Fujinami's next start will likely come on the 7th against Hiroshima.  There was a chance he might be matched up against Kenta Maeda, but it seems he will instead face Shota Nakazaki.

Advance tickets to the team's Inter-league series against Nippon Ham at Koshien on May 25 and 26 are selling well since there is a possibility Fujinami could face Fighters' 1st round draft pick Shohei Otani.  There are still tickets available on the third base side and the outfield seats in left.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Alex Ramirez is three hits away from 2,000.  He spoke to reporters on Monday and said he hoped to reach the milestone at home (April 2-4, vs Yomiuri, at Yokohama).

"It would be great if I can do this at home.  It will not be easy, but I will do my best. ... They have good pitchers.  I do not think they will easily give up hits. ... I am having very good at bats right now.  I feel great," said Ramirez.
