Tadashi Settsu won his start on Friday and is now 10-0 in twelve starts since his last loss on July 25, 2012 (vs Nippon Ham).

Rakuten Eagles

2nd round draft pick Takahiro Norimoto recorded his first pro victory on Friday in his second start of the season.  He is the third rookie in franchise history to record his first victory before the end of April.  The other two pitchers: Satoshi Nagai on April 17, 2007 vs Softbank and Masahiro Tanaka on April 18, 2007 vs Softbank.

Motohiro Shima became the first player to hit a home run into the new E-Wing seats on Friday.  The Eagles plan to install a commemorative plate near the area where the ball landed.
