Nippon Ham Fighters

The offense hit five home runs on Sunday.  The last time they did that was on September 29, 2009 vs Orix at Sapporo Dome.  They are also just the third team to hit five homers in a game since the introduction of the standard baseball.  The other two teams: Seibu on May 21, 2011 against Chunichi and Hanshin on July 17, 2011 against Yokohama.

Ryoma Nogami threw forty pitches in the bullpen today.  He is slated to start Wednesday's game against Orix.

The Lions announced that they donated the three bases, home plate, and a pitching rubber they used during spring camp to the Ghana Baseball Federation.

Softbank Hawks

Kazuyuki Hoashi threw thirty-five pitches in the bullpen at Kleenex Stadium today.  He will likely start a game against Rakuten on the 17th.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines will be giving away CHIBA uniforms to all fans attending a game against Yomiuri on June 1.

Dicky Gonzalez was taken off the active roster today because of his rocky outing against Softbank on Sunday: two earned runs on six hits over four innings of work.  He also had some trouble pitching with runners on base and allowed three stolen bases (twice to Yuichi Honda and once to Bryan LaHair).

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes suffered their 4,500th franchise loss on Sunday.  They are the third NPB team (behind Yokohama and Hanshin), first in the PL, to reach the 4,500 loss milestone.
