Yomiuri Giants

John Bowker was taken off the active roster today.  He hurt his right pinky when sliding back to third base in the 2nd inning of Thursday night's game against Yokohama.

A new SECOM TV commercial featuring Shigeo Nagashima will begin airing on 28th.  Footage for the commercial was taken earlier this month.  This will be Nagashima's first commercial in about ten years.

Chunichi Dragons

The game ball from Hitoki Iwase's 350th save will be on display at Dragons Museum at Nagoya Dome between April 29 and August 25.

Yakult Swallows

Yuhei Nakamura took and HBP off his right wrist in his third at bat in the 6th inning.  He was taken to the hospital for x-rays after the game -- the images showed no signs of damage and he was diagnosed with a bruise.  He is considered day-to-day.

Hiroshima Carp

Kenta Maeda played catch at a distance of about fifty-five meters on Thursday.  Maeda is hoping to return within ten days from his removal from the active roster, but Hiroshima is playing it safe and will not commit to anything.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Alex Ramirez struck out in all three at bats he had on Thursday.  He also struck out in his last two at bats on Wednesday, giving him five strikeouts in a row.  The coaches have decided to take Ramirez out of the starting line-up tonight.
