Seibu Lions

Yasuyuki Kataoka tweaked his left hamstring while running the bases during Saturday's game against the Rakuten Eagles.  He was left out of the starting line-up on Sunday and again today.  The Lions will monitor Kataoka over the new couple/few days before deciding what steps to take next.

Softbank Hawks

The Ni-gun Hawks played a Ni-gun game against Hiroshima on Sunday and set a new Eastern League record with eleven consecutive hits (plus one HBP) in the 4th inning.  The previous record was nine.

Rakuten Eagles

Yasunori Kikuchi will likely be demoted to Ni-gun after another bad start today (0.3 IP, 3 H, 3 BB, 5 R, 5 ER).

Takashi Saito pitched in a Ni-gun game against Seibu on Sunday.  He entered the game in the 6th and tossed a perfect inning in relief.  He topped out at 146km/h.

Orix Buffaloes

1st round draft pick Takahiro Matsuba is currently slated to make his first Ichi-gun start on May 1 against Lotte at Kyocera Dome.
