I don’t usually do this, but does anyone know where I can watch a replay of this game? On Justin.tv perhaps? I checked my usual sources, but couldn’t find any recordings. I really wanted to see Ohtani’s first start, can’t believe nobody would post this…

Pacific League TV huh? Where does one go to sign up for this? I’d definitely consider it. Do they record all or most of Fighters games?

Let me revise this that so it doesn’t sound as foolish. I’m assuming they must, since it’s called Pacific League TV, but who knows. Also, is this service open to Americans living in the continental US? The games would have to be recorded, because I am on the east coast. I know Japan is funny about this stuff sometimes.

They have all PL games except some away interleague games (thank the CL for that one). There are archives for EVERY PL game. It’s not a free service, of course – 1500yen/month for non fan club members. I think it’s well worth it.

I am also pretty sure you can sign up from overseas, though it’s all in Japanese and you’ll need to at least fake a Japanese address (though overseas cards DO work for payment). It also works fine from overseas as I use it when I travel, no tricks or anything needed.

Thanks for the info Steve, this is something I’m going to have to think about. Money is a non-issue as it’s barely $15. The only thing that concerns me is the whole faking a japanese residential address and the fact that I can’t understand Japanese. Baseball is baseball, I don’t need a translator to watch, but signing up could be a problem. I don’t get why they won’t allow foreigners to watch their games…

By fake an address I mean you just have to put one in. it’s not like you have to sign up through a VPN or anything. Looking at the signup site again, I am not even sure you need an address – it asks you for your prefecture, though.

They have no problems with foreigners watching the games but I think they feel it could be a whole lot of hassle to do an English site and support it for the whole 23 people who would be interested in watching.

Steve could you provide a link please? Thanks for answering all of my questions, I really appreciate it!

“they feel it could be a whole lot of hassle to do an English site and support it for the whole 23 people who would be interested in watching”, hmmm touche.
