Yomiuri Giants

The Giants have four walk-off victories this month.  The last time they recorded four in one month was in September 1996.

The Giants won their 500th game (May 12, 1946), 4,000th game (May 30, 1993) and 5,500th game (May 25, 2013) on walk-offs.

Yakult Swallows

Junji Ogawa told reporters he pulled Wladimir Balentien early on Saturday for his lack of hustle -- he did not run hard on a grounder to the pitcher in the 5th inning.

Masashi Nohara was taken off the active roster today to make room for 1st round draft pick Shintaro Fujinami.

Fujinami/Otani merchandise went on sale at the team store in Koshien on Saturday.  The store ran out of t-shirts (2,940 yen) one hour after opening at 10:00am.  Face towels (1,200 yen) were gone after two hours.

Yokohama Bay Stars

On Saturday, Tatsuhiko Kinjo became the 268th player in NPB history to reach the 100 home run milestone.  He also joined Isao Shibata, Yoshihiko Takahashi, Hiromi Matsunaga, Orestes Destrade, Kazuo Matsui, and Fernando Seguignol as the only switch-hitters to achieve the milestone.
