    Gen,

This game was shown by NHK World and as usual, I missed 30 minutes of the game due to the 7:00 pm news.

But I saw Abe’s game winning home-run at the bottom of the 6th. And finally I saw Sugano win for the first time after three starts that I was able to catch on NHK World.

This is also the first time I saw Yomiuri playing in home orange tops. All the while, I tought the Giants were like the Yankees of Japanese baseball, wearing only one set of uniforms for home games and only one set for away games.

For Rakuten, I saw Andruw Jones for the first time as a first baseman. I am an Atlanta Brave fan and I am not accuastomed to seeing a former gold glove centerfielder playing first base. How is he doing at that position? Is he already at home in that position?

I also saw Sakamoto and when my wife and I were in Tokyo, we saw a lot of Sakamoto endorsements in the Bullet Train station. As I was telling my friends here in the Philippines, while us Filipinos tend to lionize basketball players and boxers, in Japan, I saw none of these athletes endorsing products. I tend to see more baseball players and sumo wrestlers as endorsers.

NHK Domestic is in a roll now on Saturdays, hope to see more Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) this season.
