[6/9/2013] Injury Updates: Shinnosuke Abe (YOM), Akihito Fujii (HAN), Eiichi Koyano (HAM)

Shinnosuke Abe (Yomiuri) was replaced by a pinch-hitter in the 8th inning of today's game against the Rakuten Eagles because of discomfort in his back.  Abe reportedly started feeling something in his back while playing defense in the 8th.

The Giants' PR rep made the following comment: "[Abe] started feeling discomfort in his back while on defense in the 8th and was replaced as a precaution.  There are currently no plans for him to go to the hospital."

Akihito Fujii (Hanshin) was replaced by Takeshi Hidaka on defense in the 5th inning of today's game against Lotte.  Yutaka Wada later spoke to reporters and said that Fujii tweaked his right leg.  He is considered day-to-day.

Eiichi Koyano (Nippon Ham) was replaced by a pinch-runner after he hit a double in the 6th inning of today's game against Yakult because of tightness in his left leg.  Hideki Kuriyama told reporters the move was made as a precaution.
