Nippon Ham Fighters

Yuki Saito is scheduled to pitch in another Ni-gun game on July 7 against Hanshin at Kamagaya.  He is set to go about two innings.

1st round draft pick Shohei Otani was expected to play in Sunday's game (in right batting third) but Hideki Kuriyama decided not to use him because he was concerned about his fatigue -- he is scheduled to start another game on July 4 against Softbank at YafuOku Dome.

Softbank Hawks

Wily Mo Pena was taken off the active roster today to get more work in at Ni-gun.  According to Daily Sports, with Bryan LaHair also struggling, the organization is checking on available talent (they are casting a wide net).

The Eagles announced that they set up a new Fan Relations section in an effort to strength their relationship with fans.

Nogizaka 46 will perform their new single Girl's Rule on the 9th (vs Nippon Ham at Tokyo Dome).  One of the members is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Tsutomu Ito plans to bat Craig Brazell sixth in the order.  He will be able to play once he gets his work visa.

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes have added Ikusei pitcher Masaki Iihara to their seventy-man roster.  His uniform number will change from 121 to 43.  His salary for 2013 will be 5.5 million yen.

Kazuki Kondo could get his first Ichi-gun start of the year on July 4 against Seibu at Kyocera Dome.  Kondo is coming back from right elbow surgery in November last year.
