Yomiuri Giants

Shinnosuke Abe was removed from the game on defense in the 4th inning of today's game against Hanshin with an injury to his right side -- he tweaked something when he tried to throw Takashi Toritani out at second during a stolen base attempt in the 3rd inning.  He was taken to the hospital for an examination after getting some ice treatment.

Seibu Lions

Takeya Nakamura (coming back from left knee surgery) could play in his first Ni-gun rehab game on the 23rd vs Nippon Ham at Seibu Dome.

Softbank Hawks

Hayato Terahara (left lower back) gave up a run over eight innings during a Ni-gun game against Hiroshima today and is now scheduled to join the Ichi-gun team on Wednesday.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Yoshihisa Naruse joined the Ni-gun team at Lotte Urawa Stadium today.  Since he has some pain in his left adductor muscle, his workouts over the next few days will be somewhat limited.  Once the pain is gone, he will begin increasing the amount of running he does.

Orix Buffaloes

Takahiro Mahara (coming back from inflammation near his right shoulder) tossed batting practice at Ni-gun today.  He threw forty-one (or forty-two) pitches, topped out at 142km/h, and gave up three could-be hits.  He is scheduled to toss situational batting practice on the 7th.
