Yu Darvish TEX 7/6 DNP

Placed on DL with strained trapezius muscle in his right shoulder. From MLB.com:

Darvish has been scratched from Thursday's start against the Orioles and will likely be replaced by either Triple-A reliever Ross Wolf or Double-A pitcher Neil Ramirez. Darvish felt the muscle bothering him during a throwing session on Monday. The Rangers are describing it more as "fatigue" than anything, and they expect Darvish to miss one start. He is eligible to come off the disabled list on Monday, July 22, and Texas is planning on starting him that night against the Yankees. "I don't think it's a big issue," Darvish said. "But just as a precaution, I would rather skip a start than push it through." Darvish is 8-4 with a 3.02 ERA in 18 starts this season and leads the league with 157 strikeouts.
