Chunichi Dragons

Hector Luna (left knee) made it into today's game as a pinch-hitter.  He is expected to return to the starting line-up on Monday.

Hiroshima Carp

Kila Ka'aihue did not play in tonight's game against Yakult because of pain in his left wrist.  He is scheduled to return to Hiroshima for an evaluation.  He is considered day-to-day.

Hanshin Tigers

Tsuyoshi Nishioka fouled a ball off the area near his left knee during his at bat in the bottom of the 5th of tonight's game against Yokohama.  He returned to the batter's box after receiving treatment and ended the inning with a ground out to first.  He was removed on defense in the top of the 6th.

Shinta Hifumi slammed into a wall at Naruohama during a Ni-gun game against Chunichi today -- he was trying to make a leaping catch on a fly ball in foul territory in left and banged his left knee and head.  He had to be carried off the field on a stretcher and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata skipped pre-game batting practice on Saturday because of pain in the base of his right thumb.  Nakata suffered the injury when he faced Masahiro Tanaka (Rakuten) on the 9th.

1st round draft pick Shohei Otani showed no signs of ill effect from the incomplete fracture he suffered in his right cheekbone on the 11th -- he rejoined the Ichi-gun team for workouts today and hit a pinch-hit two-run home run off Lotte's Tomohisa Otani.

Orix Buffaloes

Yuki Nishi was pulled from today's game against Softbank after he hurt his leg while pitching in the 6th inning.  He cringed after throwing just one pitch to Bryan LaHair and may have twisted his left ankle while attempting to cover first base after getting Yuya Hasegawa (the batter before LaHair) to hit a grounder to first.
