1st round draft pick Shohei Otani is scheduled to toss a bullpen session before Wednesday's game against Seibu.

Seibu Lions

Hideaki Wakui is scheduled to start another game at Ni-gun on the 23rd (vs Nippon Ham at Seibu Dome).  How well he pitches will likely determine when he gets called up to Ichi-gun.

Shota Takekuma and Yuta Nakazaki struggled in their outings against Nippon Ham on Monday.  Takekuma started the game and gave up three runs (all earned) on two hits (both home runs) over one inning of work.  Nakazaki relieved Takekuma and gave up nine runs (seven earned) on elven hits (one home run) over three innings of work.

Both players were told to return to Tokyo after the game because they were being taken off the active roster.

Rakuten Eagles

Kohei Hasebe may have won himself a spot in the starting rotation in the second-half with his performance on Monday: he tossed six shutout innings against Orix while allowing three hits and striking out six.
