The media learned on the 14th that fake press credentials were likely used to gain free access to the Summer Koshien Aomori Qualifier Tournament.
The Aomori High School Baseball Federation told reporters that a spectator found the fake documents at Aomori Stadium after the first game on the 13th. The documents were darker in color, used larger fonts, and were printed only on one-side. The document case was official, but was three years old. The federation is not planning to file a report with the police.

A seventy-three-year-old unemployed man was arrested by Aomori Police on Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to police reports, the seventy-three-year-old man knifed a sixty-six-year-old woman a number of times along the neck and arms, causing injuries that will require about two weeks to heal. The incident took place at around 8:35am on the 16th at a parking lot at Gappo Park. The male and female are reportedly related.
A member of the Aomori Yamada High School baseball team, third-year student Kazuya Sato (佐藤和哉), rushed to the scene and helped the woman by pinning the man onto the ground.
"A man was trying to stab a woman in the neck and I just got caught up in the moment, slammed into the man and pinned him on the ground. I am glad the woman is ok," said Sato to reporters.
Sato happened to be in the area at the time of the incident because he was helping a car in the parking lot for the Summer Koshien Aomori Qualifier Tournament.
