Hanshin Tigers

Yamato (right middle finger) is not a sure bet to make the starting line-up tonight -- they will check on his condition during workouts before the game to determine if he is ready to play.

There is a chance batting coach Kenichiro Kawamura might not return to his post with the Tigers depending on his health.

According to Sports Hochi, it has something to do with the lower half of his body.  Sponichi adds that it is the hip.

Softbank Hawks

Seiichi Uchikawa on banging up the right side of his body during a game against Lotte at QVC Marine on the 15th: "It still hurts.  I do not think there is a need to force things if it means it will not get better.  But, if it can get better while I play, then I want to play."

The media learned today that Uchikawa suffered fissure fractures in the third, fourth and fifth ribs on his right side.  He is still expected to play in tonight's game against Rakuten -- still feels pain when throwing the ball, no pain when swinging the bat.
