Daisuke Miura (Yokohama) became the twenty-seventh pitcher in NPB history (second in franchise history) to reach the 3,000 innings pitched milestone today after recording two outs in the 6th inning of tonight's game against the Chunichi Dragons.

Miura (thirty-nine years and six months) and Chunichi starter Masahiro Yamamoto (forty-seven years and eleven months) set the CL record for starting pitchers with the oldest combined age at eighty-seven years and five months.  The NPB record of ninety-six years and eleven months was set by Shinji Hamazaki (forty-eight years and ten months) and Yoshio Yuasa (forty-eight years and one month) in 1950.
