Softbank Hawks

Yuya Hasegawa recorded his twentieth modasho on Sunday and tied the franchise record set by Yoshinori Hirose in 1964.  He also set a new franchise record with his fifty-seventh multi-hit game of the year.  The previous record of fifty-six was set by Munenori Kawasaki in 2010.

Masahiro Tanaka might get four starts before the end of the season instead of three because yesterday's and today's canceled games will most likely be added to the schedule on or after October 9.  That means he might have a shot at picking up the 100th win of his career before the end of the season.  If he does manage to reach 100 this season, it would be in his 175th game, second only to Victor Starffin's 100 wins in 165 games.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Daichi Suzuki hit a sac fly to center in the 7th inning of Saturday's game against the Seibu Lions that scored two runs (bases loaded, one out, scored G.G. Sato and Katsuya Kakunaka).  It was the first time a hitter recorded two RBI on a sac fly since Hiroki Kokubo on April 28, 1995 (bases loaded, no out, sac fly to right, score Kevin Reimer and Kazunori Yamamoto).

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes would like Brandon Dickson and Alex Maestri to return next season.  They are also doing their best to keep Dae-Ho Lee and Aarom Baldiris in Orix uniforms.
