Back-up catcher Kazunari Sanematsu was be taken off the active roster today with an injury to his left side. He was examined at a hospital and diagnosed with an internal oblique strain. Sanematsu suffered the injury while taking batting practice on Monday.
Yamato (right pinky) is pushing his rehab and training a bit harder because he wants to make sure he is ready for the Climax Series. He can throw now without any problems.

Nippon Ham Fighters
Keiji Obiki was examined at a hospital in Tokyo today and was diagnosed with inflammation in his right elbow due to fatigue. He will require about two weeks for a full recovery. He will begin his rehab at the Ni-gun facilities in Kamagaya on Wednesday. He will not be allowed to throw for a couple of days.
Chiba Lotte Marines
Toshiaki Imae (right ankle sprain) returned to the active roster today. His workouts at the Ni-gun facilities on Monday included about an hour of batting practice and thirty minutes of fielding practice. He felt no discomfort during the session.
