Yomiuri Giants

Hirokazu Sawamura is the third player in franchise history to record double-digit losses in his first three seasons.  The other two: Motoshi Fujita (1957-1961) and Kunio Jonouchi (1962-1965).  Fujita and Jonouchi also recorded double-digit victories in their first three seasons, Sawamura is still at four wins this season.

Chunichi Dragons

The Dragons announced on Wednesday that one of their servers was illegally accessed.  Personal information (names and addresses) that was submitted to the team through forms may have been viewed.  Security for the server has since been improved.  Additional information can be found at the official team site.

Yakult Swallows

Wladimir Balentien is on pace to hit sixty-six home runs (through September 18).

Balentien took his mother to Shibuya for some shopping on the 16th.  He bought her a necklace and a ring.  He also took her out to eat at Roppongi restaurant Mothers.

Balentien's mother might stay in Tokyo when the Swallows head to Koshien for a three-game series this weekend -- other members of her family are scheduled to arrive in Japan.

Hiroshima Carp

Masato Akamatsu noticed someone in the stands shining a laser pointer toward center field during the 6th inning of Wednesday's game against Hanshin.  The head of security was notified and will be carefully monitoring games for similar incidents.
