Nippon Ham Fighters

Atsunori Inaba will invite 120 Tohoku earthquake victims living in Sapporo to each game they play against the Rakuten Eagles at Sapporo Dome on the 21st and 22nd.  He will use money he received for participating in the WBC to pay for the costs.

Seibu Lions

Team owner Takashi Goto told reporters nothing has been decided, with regards to the coaching staff, for the 2014 season.

"There is the pennant race and whatever else comes after that.  So long as they are competing, we will never make any announcements about the staff.  Nothing has been decided," Goto said.

Hidenori Tanoue's pinch-hit grand slam in the 6th inning of today's game against the Ni-gun Chunichi Dragons helped lift the Hawks to a 9-7 victory.  The Ni-gun Hawks can clinch first in the Western League as early as the 24th.

Kobunsha published an article about Lotte selling to LIXIL in a recent edition of their weekly magazine Flash.  Acting owner Akio Shigemitsu told reporters on Thursday he sent the publisher a formal protest because the article was groundless.
