Yuya Hasegawa recorded his 190th hit of the season on Thursday and tied the franchise record set by Munenori Kawasaki in 2010.  He also set a new franchise record with his twenty-first modasho of the year -- he started the day tied with Yoshinori Hirose.

Rakuten Eagles

The Eagles are planning to ask Andruw Jones and Casey McGehee to return next season.  The request could be made even before the end of the regular season.

Rakuten will likely use the postseason to help them decide what to do with the other foreign players on the roster, like Jim Heuser and Brandon Duckworth.
