Hanshin Tigers

Shinjiro Hiyama will most likely make the starting line-up on the day of his retirement ceremony on October 5 (vs Yokmiuri at Koshien).  It will be his first game in the starting line-up since he started in right and batted fifth against Seibu at Koshien on May 27, 2012.  He is also scheduled to make the roster for the First Stage of the Climax Series.

Takada hinted at the possibility of asking Nakahata to return next season when he said, "He really did a great job. ... I did not know how well things will go if we just tell him we want him back because we think he is doing a good job."
