Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters were blanked 8-0 by Softbank on Saturday.  They were eliminated from postseason play.

Satoshi Nakajima played in his first Ichi-gun game of the year on Saturday.  He tied Masahiro Yamamoto for second on the all-time list with his twenty-seventh year of service time (at least one Ichi-gun game in each season).  Kimiyasu Kudo holds the NPB record with twenty-nine years of service time.

Hiroshi Kisanuki started a Ni-gun game against Yokohama on Saturday.  He gave up three runs on seven hits over four innings of work.

Seibu Lions

Seibu announced that they will hold a Saitama Seibu Lions Fan Appreciation Sale at their fifteen department stores and three Sogo stores over a four day period beginning on October 4.

Softbank Hawks

Yuya Hasegawa collected two hits on Saturday and set a new franchise record for hits in one season with 192.  The previous franchise high of 190 hits was set by Munenori Kawasaki in 2010.

Rakuten Eagles

A victory parade celebrating the team's first pennant could be held in Sendai on either November 23 or 24.  While a route has not yet been selected, there is a good chance it will be the stretch of road between Sendai Station and Kleenex Stadium.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The media learned on Friday that Tsutomu Ito signed a three-year deal last winter instead of a two-year deal.  The organization apparently felt two years was not enough time to make a difference and added a third.
