Chunichi Dragons

Ryuya Ogawa (spondylolysis) will make his first appearance of the year on the 3rd (vs Hiroshima at Mazda).  He is scheduled to toss about three innings.

Yakult Swallows

Wladimir Balentien was removed on defense in the 8th inning of tonight's game against the Yomiuri Giants because of tightness in his left Achilles' tendon.  The tendon has been giving him problems on and off since July.

Atsushi Nomi was removed early from his start tonight with what may have been an injury to his left hand, possibly a cut to his finger.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Sho Nakata (left pinky) took 101 swings during indoor batting batting practice on Monday.  Atsunori Inaba and Makoto Kaneko threw pitches to him.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Takashi Ogino was taken off the active roster today with pain in his right hamstring.  Ogino suffered the injury while running the bases on Monday.
