A number of changes to the coaching staff are expected.  Two possible moves include promoting Ni-gun manager Mitsuru Manaka to either Ichi-gun head coach or batting coach and naming Ichi-gun batting coach Takahiro Ikeyama the new Ni-gun manager.

The Swallows are expected to make an announcement about the new coaching staff some time in October.
