Yomiuri Giants

Takanobu Tsujiuchi will be retiring.  He made the decision after the Giants informed him that they were not going to sign him to a contract for the 2014 season.

Chunichi Dragons

The Dragons will finish the season without a winning record against any of the five Central League teams for the first time in eighteen years.

Hiroshima Carp

Kenjiro Nomura checked out the Ni-gun practice game against Softbank on Tuesday to see if there are any players that could help the team during the Climax Series.  Possibilities include: Tsubasa Aizawa, Naoki Nakahigashi, and Kenta Kurihara, as well as Shota Dobayashi.

Hanshin Tigers

Masashi Nohara would like to continue playing and plans to attend the twelve-team tryouts.  He still has to discuss it with his family.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Kiyoshi Nakahata on Nyjer Morgan:

He brings extras to the table.  He helps fill the seats.  Could he be our most popular player?  I do not know what the organization is thinking, but I think he is a good player.

The Bay Stars plan to add Alex Ramirez (will not return in 2014) to the active roster for the final game of the season.  Masaaki Koike (will retire) will be with the team for the last two games of the season, including the Chunichi game at Nagoya Dome on Saturday.  Koike spent four years in the Chunichi organization.  Takayuki Shinohara (will retire) was asked if he wanted to be called up, but declined.
