[10/8/2013] Nippon Ham Fighters, Softbank Hawks, Orix Buffaloes

Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters are planning to have Sho Nakata work out at third base during the off-season.  They are hoping to start him at third next season.

Nakata was informed of the plan in September.  He was not happy about the switch at first, but has since come to terms with the decision.

Softbank Hawks

San-gun manager Hiroshi Ogawa will likely be promoted to Ichi-gun head coach.  Current head coach Daijiro Oishi is expected to step down in response to the team's fourth place finish.

There are four candidate cities bidding to become the new home for the Ni-gun Hawks: Fukuoka City, Miyawaka City, Kitakyushu City, and Chikugo City.  Softbank began a second round of private screenings on the Tuesday.  They are hoping to select the final winner before the end of the year.

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes announced Brandon Dickson and Jose Fernandez will be returning home to their respective countries on Wednesday.  Dickson will probably return next year.  A decision has not yet been made on Fernandez.
