Chunichi Dragons

The Dragons are still in the process of determining whether or not they want to bring Warner Madrigal and Matt Clark back next season.

The Dragons coaching staff could look something like this next season: Shigekazu Mori - head coach; Yui Tomori - Ichi-gun pitching coach; Toshio Haru - Ichi-gun batting coach; Kosei Katsuzaki - conditioning coach; and Takahiro Saeki - Ni-gun manager.

Chunichi announced they were parting ways with Ikusei coach Kazuo Hayakawa, but Hiromitsu Ochiai is interested in bringing him back in some other capacity.

Softbank Hawks

The Hawks are interested in Dae-Ho Lee.  They have the money to sign him and are located fairly close to Busan, Korea (about an hour by plane and three hours by hi-speed ferry).

Orix Buffaloes

The Buffaloes want to improve their catching depth and have started looking into Nippon Ham's Shinya Tsuruoka, in case he decides to exercise his FA option.

    I sure wouldn’t give up on Matt Clark yet. He was only 26 years old in 2013, hit 25 home runs and had a not terrible .785 OPS. The odds are strong he’ll get a lot better if given more time to adjust to Japanese baseball.

      I am not sure if Clark himself wants to remain in Japan. He has attention disorder and a girlfriend working as a beat reporter for a Major League team in the US.

      They should definitely bring him back if he’s interested, but I’m not sure he will be. Just judging his on-field facial expressions he seemed pretty frustrated all year. He looked kind of pissed off even after getting hits.
      Even if he’s back they should bring in another foreign hitter to compete.
