[10/13/2013] Rumors: Chunichi and Yakult coaching staff updates; Toritani may stick around for another year

Chunichi Dragons

The Dragons are planning to part ways with batting coaches Kazuki Inoue and Toshikatsu Hikono, pitching coach Shinji Imanaka, OF/base-running coach Ken Hirano, and catcher coach Yutaka Hasebe.

Lotte's Ni-gun batting coach Kiyoyuki Nagashima is planning to accept a job as Dragons' Ichi-gun OF/base-running coach.  He has already informed the Marines of his intentions.

Yakult Swallows

The Swallows will likely re-assign roving hitting coordinator Takao Ise to another position where he can focus on developing young talent.

Hanshin Tigers

There is a good chance Takashi Toritani will not exercise his international FA option this off-season because the market for Japanese infielders in the US is not very good.  The Tigers are planning to ask him to return next season.

The Tigers also planning to asked Randy Messenger to return.  Things are still undecided on Matt Murton and Jason Standridge.

Yasutomo Kubo avoided answering questions about his domestic option.

The Tigers have offered Masayuki Kakefu a job as a hitting adviser.  If talks go well, he could join the team for fall camp.
