Chunichi Dragons

GM Hiromitsu Ochiai and manager Motonobu Tanishige were at Nagoya Stadium for fall practices on Tuesday.

The Dragons announced off-days for fall practices at Nagoya Stadium: October 17, 23, and 29.  Off-days after the 29th will be announced as they are decided.

The Dragons announced that they will not sign the following six coaches to contracts for the 2014 season: pitching coach Shinji Imanaka, catcher coach Yutaka Hasebe, batting coach Toshikatsu Hikono, batting coach Kazuki Inoue, OF/base-running coach Ken Hirano, and Ni-gun catcher coach Susumu Kaneda.

Yasushi Iihara and Shingo Kawabata are planning to carry on Shinya Miyamoto's tradition of holding joint workouts for younger players in Matsuyama, Ehime in January.

The start of fall practices at the Yokosuka facilities were pushed back to the 17th because of Typhoon #26.

A documentary of the Bay Stars' season will be screened at Yokohama Burg 13 on December 7, 8, 14, and 15.  A DVD will be released on December 17.  Special guests are expected to make appearances after the screenings.
