Yomiuri Giants

Michihiro Ogasawara did not make the forty-man roster for the Nippon Series due to an injury that has not yet fully healed.  Due to current circumstances, it seems there is also a good chance he may no longer be in the team's plans for the 2014 season.  He still wants to play and it is uncertain what will happen to him.

Atsushi Nomi was slated to start Game 3 of the First Stage of the Climax Series, but never got the chance since the team was swept 2-0.  Nomi was going to be a guest in the broadcast booth for Game 4 of the Final Stage of the Climax Series, but never got that chance because the Giants swept the series 3-0.

There are some that are wondering why Yutaka Wada did not pitch Nomi during the first two games of the series.  The lefty is also apparently not very happy about how things went and is refusing to talk about Climax Series.
