Hanshin Tigers

The Tigers would like to use fall camp to see if pitchers can be used in other positions.  For example: can Masanori Fujihara and Ken Nishimura be used as starters; can Akira Iwamoto be used out of the bullpen.

Shintaro Fujinami's player in Konami's Jikkyo Powerful Pro Yakyu 2013 was given an E for control and a C for stamina (on a scale from A to G).

Fujinami on the ratings: "If I were playing, I would not select me.  Control E?  Not that that really means anything...  I want to keep that wild part of me while improving my accuracy each year."

The development team on their ratings: "We gave him an E to get that hard to control type of player.  For stamina, we held things back a bit because he did have a pitch limit, which kept his innings down."

It was not all bad for Fujinami though.  His player was given the best rated cutter in the game.

"I am not sure if you can call it a cutter.  I feel it is my best pitch, so that was good," Fujinami said.
