Hiroshima Carp

Kan Otake met team officials at Mazda Stadium on Monday and was asked to stay.  He is still thinking about what he wants to do with his domestic FA option.  Yoshiyuki Ishihara was offered a deal and told reporters he planned to take it back home with him to think about his options.  Katsuhiro Nagakawa would like to stay and has said that he sees no reason to exercise his option if the team needs him.

Hanshin Tigers

Wei-Chu Lin was senryokugai'ed by the Tigers.  The media learned on Sunday that Lin turned down a spot on Taiwan's national team because he plans to attend the twelve-team tryout in Shizuoka on November 10.  He is hoping to continue his playing career in Japan next year.

Softbank Hawks

The Hawks have heard that Munenori Kawasaki wants to continue playing in the Majors next year.  However, if he decides to return, they will be interested in him as a possible option at second.  Yuichi Honda has been playing second, but he is slated to earn his domestic FA option next season and having Kawasaki in the mix could keep everyone on their toes.

The Hawks have also left Kawasaki's number, fifty-two, open.
