Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters have calculated base 2014 salaries for all their players.  They are still not sure how to handle Shohei Otani.  According to Sports Hochi, the Fighters' system worked out a raise that would double his 2013 salary.  However, the front office feels Otani is a special case because he was both a pitcher and a position player this past season.  They will consider a possible bonus for him.
